NFU vice president Guy Smith has criticised the ’painful and prolonged’ application process after what he described as a ’month of uncertainty’ over whether it would be granted.
The NFU’s Minette Batters said farmers from the most southern tip of Cornwall to the most northern tip of Durham were feeling let down, angry and frustrated over the lack of progress in implementing the strategy.
The Great Yorkshire Show, to be held in Harrogate from Tuesday July 14 to Thursday July 16, will welcome more than 130,000 visitors through its gates.
