My Client is comprised of a mix of B2B and B2C businesses, externally these are viewed as two bodies: A manufacturing group specialising in the supply of aluminium and plastic extrusions, and a garden products business that manufactures greenhouses, canopies, carports etc and sells both directly to consumers as well as to the retail industry.
Following relocation of our greenhouses business, we are looking for two bright & personable people to form a new customer service & administration team. They form the principle customer facing element of the business, being responsible for taking product queries, sales pipeline management, managing orders, dealing with complaints and logistical matters.
You must be able to demonstrate self-starter qualities, working diligently to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of queries and problems. From answering questions about our range of products, to taking payment, organising delivery, to after sales support, you will be engaged with the customer throughout every step of their purchase.
The nature and range of products requires team members to build up product knowledge on both existing and new products, so the right candidate will be willing and ready to get hands on assembling our greenhouses etc. to gain real world experience of how our products are assembled.

GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English & Maths
ICT qualifications such as GCSE/NVQ/CDL etc
Customer service experience
Call handling and dealing with financial matters such as card payment processing
Dealing with complaints
Using Microsoft Office including Outlook/Excel/Word.
Command of the English language including idioms both written and spoken.
Horticultural industry experience or gardening interest.
E-Commerce experience such as Amazon Vendor / eBay seller / Bigcommerce or equivalent
Data protection regulation knowledgeDIY experience using simple power tools and hand tools
Order processing including taking card payments over the phone. Producing delivery notes and invoices.
Dealing with incoming post and dispatching smaller items to customers via courier or regular post. Fulfilling customer brochure requests.
Photocopying product literature such as labels, inserts and assembly instruction manuals to be passed to the factory for packing.
Ordering stationery and other supplies to aid in production of product literature.
Transferring orders from wholesale customers via web based systems
Booking carriage with hauliers and couriers.
Taking and answering customer enquiries about order status and our products.
Managing and customer help desk system answering web enquiries, and talking to customers using web based text chat to answer questions from website visitors.
Dealing with difficult situations in a calm and friendly manner, such as customer complaints or logistical problems.
Matching customer requirements to suitable products, upselling and cross-selling suitable add-ons.
Keeping tabs on sales targets and managing leads, following up with customer enquiries quickly and using commercial judgement to make attractive packages to customer to close sales.
