LAMMA is the UK’s largest agricultural trade show, where over 850 exhibitors will host the most extensive array of farm machinery, equipment, and services to be found in one location anywhere in the UK.
A highly respected and well-known Lloyd's Syndicate based in the heart of the city is currently looking for an experienced Claims Adjuster to join their market leading Non-marine Claims team.
You will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing a caseload of complex international Non-marine claims across the following classes of business;
Multi million dollar/pound international project Construction claims including Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR) and Business Interruption (BI). This will amount to approximately 80% of the caseload.
International Property claims to include a Crop & Farm account and coverholder relationship to manage in Australia - This will require travel to Australia once a year to manage the relationship directly with the coverholder. This will amount to approximately 15% of the caseload.
International onshore Energy Claims. This will amount to approximately 5% of the caseload.
There is the potential for some cross class training which is often encouraged across the team so there is a possibility of having exposure to the following classes of business within the role: Accident & Health (A&H), Contingency, Financial Institutions (FI), Political Violence and Treaty.
The Non Marine Claims team manage syndicate claims concerning the above Direct, Facultative Reinsurance, Excess of Loss and Proportional Treaty classes.
Requirements to be considered for this position:
Proven experience (ideally at least 3 years) of adjusting high value & complex international construction claims is essential.
Qualified, studying towards or motivated to obtain the ACII or similar professional qualification.
Ideally more than 5 years total experience within claims in the London / Lloyd's markets is preferred.
Full working knowledge of Electronic Claim File (ECF).
Willingness to travel (Australia predominantly as noted above).
Ambitious, analytical, communicative individual with the drive to exceed and achieve within the insurance industry.
Good IT skills and knowledge in particular Microsoft Excel and Word.
Basic salary up to £60,000 depending on experience
