Your role will be supporting one of our key programmes in the National Trust - our Land Outdoors & Nature programme in the London & South East region. Through this programme we are working hard to conserve the natural environment and the coast and countryside in our care, protecting wildlife and ensuring that our farming practices support the conservation of key habitats and species.

What it's like to work here

This role will be based from the Wisley Consultancy Hub, near Guildford in Surrey.The National Trust Consultancy is the home to specialists in every field of our work. A national consultancy, where resources are shared across disciplines and boundaries, it’s proving to be a great repository of skills, talent and experience. The diversity and quality of expertise within the Consultancy will enable our properties and places to benefit from an extraordinary range of creative and innovative thinking, as well as deep expertise in all matters relating to our twin purpose of caring for the nation’s heritage and landscapes, and making these accessible to all.

What you'll be doing

You'll visit the places where the programme team are providing their advice to see what the work is all about and understand how best you can support the team back in the office. You' attend and administrate the Land Outdoors & Nature Programme Board, track and report progress, collate and share programme information, and communicate our stories and successes to staff, volunteers and our supporters.

Who we're looking for

Experienced in working on fast paced projects, you’ll know how to support a project team to deliver results effectively. You’ll need to have;

  • Good people skills, enabling good working relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of budgets, finance and co-ordination of projects
  • Ability to multi-task and to successfully handle multiple priorities
  • Stakeholder management with the ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with regional project stakeholders and central functions
  • The ability to work well both in a team and on your own initiative
  • Very strong excel skills
