PROJECT MANAGER - TRANSFORMATION
£40,000 - £50,000 per annum pro rata REF:PS/TR/015/18
Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) is one of Europe’s leading specialist institutions in science and technology – with 1,300 staff providing education, training, research and development, advice and consultancy services to the land-based industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced project manager to bring value to our Transformation team. Reports to the Programme Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
·Establishing, maintaining and controlling project documentation and management information.
·Designing, planning, and implementing a project which delivers the desired outputs.
·Adhering to the project’s governance framework including monitoring and control regime, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, quality and assurance, information management, resource management, procurement plan.
·Identifying, managing and mitigating the project risks (Technical, Financial, Commercial, Health and Safety, Environmental, Security, etc).
·Ensuring the appropriate capabilities (people, relationships, infrastructure, knowledge) are employed in the execution of the project.
·Leading change management within permitted project tolerances; adapting plans to meet changing customer, capability and business requirements and priorities.
·Effective communication and escalation where necessary to Programme level.
·Defining tasks and success criteria and providing individuals with performance feedback.
·Enabling development of staff through project activities.
·Championing the development of Project Management.
The ideal candidate will have public sector experience and a can-do attitude.
