This magnificent Victorian mansion and gardens are situated in the rural Vale of Glamorgan. The sweeping 55-acre estate features a stunning array of garden rooms and a vast collection of plants. A major restoration project at Dyffryn House has created lots of opportunities within the large gardening operation and visitor experience. As part of the garden team, you’ll assist in making sure that the gardens are maintained to a high standard. Working under the close supervision of the garden team, you'll undertake basic horticultural tasks and help ensure the highest standards of conservation, horticulture and visitor experience.
This role is based in the Walled Garden and will include a range of practical horticultural tasks to develop, enhance and conserve the garden. You'll be working with the Walled Garden Supervisor, growing a range of produce, fruit and cut flowers for use across the site.
You’ll also support garden volunteers and help them to make the most of their time here. You’ll be expected to interact with our visitors on a daily basis, answering their questions, or help out with gardening workshops, tours and to up events when needed.Who we're looking for
