An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Horticultural Services Supervisor to manage a team of Grounds Maintenance Operatives and carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance tasks on behalf of the service. Horticultural Services Supervisor Hours: 22.5 hours per week, including some weekend and out of hours work required Contract: 1 year Fixed Term Salary: £18,000 per annum Pro rata (Based on 37.5 hours full time equivalent) Location: Meriden Estate, North Watford Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Horticultural Services operate along social enterprise principles within mental health charity; Hertfordshire Mind, that specialises in provision of high quality horticultural and grounds maintenance services to organisations across the Borough of Watford and its outlying areas. The successful candidate must hold a clean driving licence and have excellent levels of communication, organisational and time keeping skills and a proven track record in developing new business. Grounds maintenance and pruning knowledge is essential, as is experience in the use of petrol machinery, Health & Safety and willingness to attend training for pesticides/herbicides. Individuals must be willing to work reliably and flexibly to ensure contracts are delivered on time and to levels of high quality whilst complying fully with training, health and safety and environmental standards. You will also be required to manage schedules and train new staff, all of whom will be at varying stages of their recovery from mental health issues. An approved enhanced DBS is required for this post.
