ASSISTANT PLANT PATHOLOGIST
NIAB is an independent plant science organisation, providing a range of research and technical services to the agricultural, horticultural and food sectors. This vacancy is in our plant pathology group to help deliver a range of research projects and services. You will join a team working in both laboratory and field environments handling plant pathogens, investigating disease management, evaluating host resistance and characterising pathogen populations.
For this position you will need to be well organised and able to manage high workload peaks. You should hold a first degree in biology or a related subject. Post graduate experience in plant sciences and some understanding of plant pathology is highly desirable.
A full clean driving licence and willingness to undertake UK travel is essential. Starting salary will be in the range of £19,561 - £20,591 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
