R&D Scientist - BiocidesRef: 19673 Our client is a leading solutions and systems provider for food processing and livestock farming, their hygiene chemicals and dairy farming site is seeking an experienced Research and Development Scientist Working with our client’s full range of products responsibilities will include: •Development of new dairy hygiene products including: definition of desired characteristics of new products with Product Management and Regulatory Using appropriate experimental design for the product development projects.•Formulations of new and existing products with full stability testing.•Analysis of field testing results and implementing change based on those results.•Scaling up from bench top formulation to production.•Monitor changes in industry and over developments. Responding to these changes with new products and ideas.•Work collaboratively in Global technology exchange with other R&D groups.•Liaise with factory management to monitor raw material opportunities and take advantage of potential cost reductions and second source needs. •Assist the Technical Manager concerning Biocidal Products testing for product registration by setting up testing, monitoring the testing and presenting the results. •Work under Good Laboratory practice and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements. •Perform, Develop and Validate new Analytical Methods using titrations, HPLC and GC, FT-IR and UV-Vis Applications are welcome from candidates with the following •Degree in Chemistry or related scientific subject•Previous product development experience (preferably in the dairy, cosmetics or disinfectants industry). •Formulation knowledge/experience •Alternative educational qualifications that are deemed to be equivalent*; or•Ideally experience with product regulation and compliance.•Previous analytical chemistry experience (HPLC, GC, Spectroscopy and General Wet Chemistry) Role: PermanentLocation: South West (commutable from Bath, Chippenham, Frome, Trowbridge and Salisbury areas)Salary: £30K - £35K + dependant on skills and experience.
