Experienced Assistant Herd Manager

Scottish Dairy Farm of the Year in 2014 and a Top 4 finalist in each of 2015 and 2016 is looking to recruit an Assistant Herd Manager for their 800 and rising pedigree, milk recorded herd at Meldrum Farm, Blairdrummond, near Stirling. 50 point rotary parlour and modern facilities. Applicants must have confidence to take responsibility in the absence of the Herd Manager.


Must be organised and have a good eye for detail. Duties include training and managing milking staff; planning staff rotas for three times a day milking; feeding and carrying out youngstock tasks; milking at least once per day; recording events on parlour computer; keeping movement and medicine records. AI and foot trimming desirable.


Accommodation provided and good local schools and amenities.
