Due to a continued period of success, out client, an award winning Design and Property consultancy, are looking for an exciting and dynamic Trainee Mechanical Engineer to join their rapidly growing team, to be based in Ipswich.

Duties of the role include:
* Work within an integrated M&E department consisting of, CAD technicians, Trainees, Intermediates and Senior Engineers. * Supporting members of the mechanical services team and working collaboratively to develop the business. * Assist in the production of appropriate reports, drawings and specifications of compliant mechanical building services design including heating, ventilation, air‐conditioning, & water services. * Assist in the undertaking of design calculations on industry standard software. * Undertake appropriate site surveys, inspections and monitoring. * Adopt a proactive approach within the business supporting the delivery of mechanical designs. * Engage with other professions on mechanical services related subjects. * Co‐ordination between the M&E disciplines and across the multi discipline business. * Flexible approach to working, improving efficiencies by co‐ordinating and utilising team resources. * Ensure compliant mechanical design is maintained across the mechanical services team. * Ensure consistency of approach across the mechanical services team.
* Aspirations to or be studying towards HNC/HND in an engineering related subject * You will hold some experience in a design capacity. * Have basic knowledge of relevant Building Regulations, standards for mechanical installations * Be progressing and developing technical skill in Mechanical Building Services and the use of design software. (CAD & Hevacomp) * Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint). * Good standard of literacy and numeracy. Able to work effectively under pressure.
