We require an enthusiastic and versatile herdsperson who has a passion for spring block-calving grazing systems to work alongside the herd manager and existing team on a progressive grass based farm near Middlewich in Cheshire. This exciting new position has the following key responsibilities; assisting with the calving of the spring block calving herd, milking the NZ Friesian x Jersey cows, grassland management and general stock husbandry tasks.

You need to be a very enthusiastic person with a passion for grazing cows. Experience in milking and grassland management are essential for this role. You will need to be an ambitious person who is able to use their initiative and be able to take responsibility for the herd when the herd manager is away. In return for your efforts we offer a highly competitive salary with bonus schemes, regular time off and accommodation free from rent and council tax. The accommodation available is a centrally heated 3 bed family cottage with garden, all within easy walking distance of the farm.
