Date: 22nd September at 7.30pm
The threat that liver fluke poses to the health and productivity of cattle is increasingly well characterised. However, managing this risk relies on a clear understanding of the threat posed by this parasite at farm level.
In this webinar we’re joined by Professor Diana Williams, a veterinary parasitologist with interests in the immunology, pathogenesis and epidemiology of parasites affecting livestock. Currently Diana heads a large research programme which aims to improve control of Fasciola hepatica (fluke) in sheep and cattle.
We will discuss:
How we can better characterise the risk at farm level
The emerging challenges that complicate this picture
How we can use a risk based approach to control liver fluke at housing
