LAMMA is the UK’s largest agricultural trade show, where over 850 exhibitors will host the most extensive array of farm machinery, equipment, and services to be found in one location anywhere in the UK.
Surely the most important ‘public good’ UK farmers produce is food. After all, without the essential asset there can be no enjoyment of the by-products of a properly functioning agricultural system, be that a beautiful landscape or access to it.
Phil farms 385ha (950 acres) in Cheshire, split between the family farm on Lord Cholmondeley’s estate and Organsdale Farm near Tarporley. Marc Williams, 27, works for Natural Resources Wales and helps on the family farm near Sennybridge, in the Brecon Beacons. They keep 70 cattle on 40 hectares (100 acres). He is also chairman of Sennybridge YFC and is currently Brecknock YFC senior member of the year.
