Looking for something to do this summer? Experience the beauty of Castle farm’s lavender fields, in the village of Shoreham, Kent.
The farm has been in the Alexander family since 1892, and they are now the UK’s largest lavender farm growing 130 acres of the popular fragrant flower, offering unique lavender events for visitors - including Lavender Walks and Lavender BYO Picnics.
During the busy summer flowering season, the onsite farm shop is converted to a Drive Thru Farm Shop, which sells a variety of lavender inspired products as well as apple juice pressed from the farm’s apple orchard and beef from their own cattle herd.
Whether you fancy taking a relaxing stroll or testing the homemade produce, it is safe to say this 1,100-acre family farm has something to offer everybody. The Lavender will be in bloom until late July when it is harvested for the precious essential oil.
To book tickets for the Lavender events, go to www.castlefarmkent.co.uk. £4.25 for Lavender Field Walks, £11.25 for Lavender Picnics.
