Quote Of The Week

"If he were to try, I and every other Member of Parliament, will sit across the road in Methodist Central Hall and we will hold our own session of Parliament and we will bring him down. Because you do not, ever, lock the doors on Parliament." - Tory leadership candidate Rory Stewart on the possibility of Boris Johnson shutting Parliament to push through a no-deal Brexit

Brexit Bods Stock Exchange

Brexit Prep Tip

The Three Bs

The Three Ds, also known as Death, Debt and Divorce, are often cited as drivers of agricultural sales.

However, in this era of Brexit malaise, we’ve identified our own Three Bs that can be deployed to encourage a smooth sales process.

The first two are Backlog and Boredom. While many vendors have delayed launching their property, electing to wait for political certainty and surety around pricing, it has created a backlog of demand amongst buyers.

They have become bored of waiting for new stock to materialise, and motivated vendors could enjoy a sea of opportunity as now is the time to unveil new properties to the market and reap the benefits.

Avoid our third B and don’t be Blinkered when considering value.

Some agents might over-value assets in order to win an instruction, but look for market comparisons and ensure you enlist an objective approach to weed out agent bravado.
