Farmers Guardian has teamed up with farmer and award-winning podcaster Will Evans to create a new Brexit podcast, ‘Ploughing Through Brexit’.
The first episode of the podcast, hosted by Will and FG’s chief reporter Abi Kay, will be released on Monday, December 17.
Each podcast, to be released on a monthly basis, will last around 15 minutes and cover three Brexit and agriculture-related topics.
The first two guests lined up for Ploughing Through Brexit are Neil Parish MP, chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, and Nick von Westenholz, Brexit and international trade director at the NFU.
FG’s editor Ben Briggs said: “I am really proud to announce the launch of this new podcast, which will add an extra dimension to our already industry-leading Brexit coverage.”
In 2017, Will Evans won the British Farming Awards Digital Innovator of the Year accolade with his other podcast, Rock and Roll Farming.
He has since established himself as a major voice in British agriculture, securing interviews with Defra Secretary Michael Gove, NFU president Minette Batters and president of NFU Cymru John Davies.
Now he wants to bring his approachable, laid-back style of podcasting to the most serious subject of the day – Brexit.
He said: “I am so pleased to be teaming up with Abi on this exciting new project. We have got some brilliant guests lined up and are really looking forward to tackling the big Brexit talking points over the coming months.”
Anyone can find the new podcast by searching for ‘Ploughing Through Brexit’ in a podcast app or through Will’s channel Rock and Roll Farming.
It will also be hosted on FG’s Brexit hub, which you can visit HERE.
