Briefing Media was founded in 2010 by Neil Thackray and Rory Brown with a strategy to build and buy business-to-business media assets.
The business began with the launch of The Media Briefing which provides strategy insight and market intelligence for senior decision makers in the media industry.
In 2012 the business acquired Farmers Guardian and Pulse Media Ltd with backing from mid market private equity firm Kester Capital. Later the same year the business acquired Lamma Ltd, the leading agricultural trade show in the UK .
Briefing Media realised its investment in Pulse Media in 2013 through a trade sale to healthcare specialists Cogora.
In 2014 Briefing Media acquired Agrimoney.com, an award winning website serving the world of international agribusiness.
The agriculture business has grown from strength to strength and has become a multi platform media group reaching around 250000 farming decision makers.
Briefing Media continues to invest in growth and to seek further acquisition opportunities.
