Our client is a managed service provider based in Walton-On-Thames, working with a number of clients from various sources, most are entirely unique. Working with customers from simple desktop support, up to and including datacentre services for DR/Hosting in our datacentres.
Our client also has a partner business, which operates a ticketing business for a number of events. A function of this is working with handheld Android devices and Enterprise Wi-Fi/WiMAX solutions. Including, but not limited to, Ubiquiti and Mikrotik.
Working with a number of clients, across a number of infrastructure types and different sized organisations. Very often faced with unique challenges, a number of of alternate solutions may be required.
A suitable candidate will ideally have knowledge of the following
• Desktop and Server Operating Systems
• TCP/IP Networking
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Desktop Configuration for Users
• Attention to detail
• Any demonstrable experience from the above, particularly server operating systems and routing/firewalling.
• Full Driving Licence
• An ability to resolve issues using external resources for research
• Customer Service Experience
In addition, working with the other side of our business which offers even more opportunities for developing new skills. This deals with ticketing based on Android Devices and large WiFi Networks at Agricultural shows. Very often you will have exposure to new devices being trialled, and ultimately deployed in the field after testing.
Flexibility to work with the needs of the business, which may require work outside of normal working hours on occasions.
