An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Engineering Team as an Engineering Apprentice at their Barway site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the main purpose and responsibilities are:

  • To assist with breakdowns and to perform preventative maintenance under engineering supervision ensuring the efficient running of the site.
  • Completing relevant paperwork promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the site and it’s services, developing an understanding of the Health and Safety regulations and responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, construction and installation of new machinery, and keep up to date with new technology

To be successful you will need:

  • No formal or educational qualifications as you will be working towards this at college as part of the apprenticeship.
  • CAD experience beneficial
  • Computer literate
  • Dexterous
  • Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic numeracy
  • Ability to follow instructions
