Ninkasi Brewkit Rentals is a new company (started in August 2017) and provides a novel and unique service to UK craft breweries. We purchase equipment such as fermentation tanks, cooling kits and carbonation kits, then rent them to breweries on a long or short-term basis. All equipment is supplied to our own specification, and is assembled into kits by us, prior to delivery and installation, again by us.
Reason for recruitment
Currently only the two founders and two new team members work in the business. Due to continued growth and a move to larger premises, we are planning new products and more deliveries of existing ones.
A versatile Engineer is needed who is happy to do ‘hands on’ work as well as taking the technical lead on kit assembly, delivery, problem solving and new equipment.
Hands on work (in conjunction with other team members)
·Assemble cooling kits
·Perform tank / cooling kit deliveries
·Collect new tanks from factory
·Put together valve and carbonation kits
Understand key principles of all the equipment
·Cooling kit (chiller / pipework / temperature controller) – in depth
·Tank delivery system (in-house design)
Proactively resolve technical issues as they arise, e.g –
·Work with suppliers to resolve any faults and organise retrofit / rework in the field.
·Develop and implement any required internal ‘fixes’ e.g – buffer tank stabiliser to prevent chiller leaks during transit.
Design and get made any new delivery or integration equipment required
·e.g – trolley based tank delivery mechanism for tanks to allow delivery into low buildings.
In conjunction with rest of team - Explore technical aspects of potential new rental equipment and identify potential suppliers – e.g.
·Small canning machine.
·All purpose brewery pump.
·Pilot brewery kit.
Liaise with equipment suppliers on all technical specifications and queries.

Terms and conditions
The role is on a ‘full time employed’ basis and will be salaried rather than hourly paid.
This is a very important role, and an individual package will be agreed with the successful candidate. Initial salary will be up to £30k p.a.
Potential for development
The founders will not be working full time in the business for long, due to their age, so the requirement is for someone to quickly become a main player to help take the company forward and develop with it.
