Milking Equipment Service Technician

Milking Equipment Service Technician - Cornwall



The successful candidate will work with customers and the team to service and install automated dairy equipment.

This is a full-time position working on milking equipment at various dairy farms in the Cornwall area. A company vehicle and phone will be provided.

Once trained, there may be a requirement for this individual to be on call for emergency service; this would mean one night per week and one weekend each month.



Job Requirements



Install and repair dairy farm milking equipment which involves experience in mechanical, electrical, electronics, compressed air and hydraulics.

Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship and image with the company's customers.

Provide quality workmanship consistent with company and industry standards.

Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury.



Skills and Qualifications



Good understanding of mechanics, electronics, PLCs, and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Highly organised to plan your day and prioritise your workload meeting strict deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Ability to work independently or as part of team and take ownership of assigned work.

Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with customers regarding the work being done.

Ability to perform physical tasks the may require climbing, lifting, pushing, bending/stooping..

Mechanical aptitude to be able to troubleshoot the mechanical equipment.

Service Technician experience and/or background in the dairy industry would be an asset.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your work day is rarely the same but will always be exciting!
