A Local Authority in Warwickshire are seeking two Planners to join their Development Management Team.The first vacancy is for a Planning Officer to join the Householders Team. This would be suitable for recent graduates with some experience or Planning Officers looking to develop their experience in a rural area.The second vacancy is for the Minors Team, which will involve dealing with a mixed caseload of minor applications and some more complex cases.The Authority is located in an area of predominantly rural landscape and market towns. The caseload would involve new and existing transferred applications, covering Green Belt and AONB areas, Conservation Ares and Listed Buildings. The role in the Householders Team would involve householder applications in these areas. The work in the Minors Team is primarily small scale housing schemes in and on the edge of villages, farm related proposals and a limited range of small scale commercial. Both contracts will be for 6 months and the Minors team requires someone for full time hours but can offer a compressed week. The Householders Team would like full time hours but would consider someone who would like to work part time.
