Principal Planner/Specialist Consultancy/East Anglia Penguin Recruitment are pleased to represent an established property consultancy in their search for a talented Principal Planner. Having recently merged with another property consultancy in the East Anglia region, this successful firm are offering an exciting opportunity for one individual to join during an exciting time of growth and expansion.The successful Principal Planner will work alongside senior members of the team to offer specialist planning advice to clients within the rural, commercial, residential and agricultural sectors. As a Principal Planner, you will have the opportunity to offer expert planning advice to multi-national corporations, major landowners and housebuilders, as well as local authorities and government bodies. Job duties will include:Submitting planning applications and appealsUndertaking site visits and appraisalsPreparing detailed planning applications and appeals across a range of schemes including barn conversions, agricultural buildings as well as new and listed buildingsOffer technical advice on complex planning applicationsMentoring and offering motivation to junior members of staffAct as an expert witness during planning appeals and examinationsLiaise with local authorities, conservation and building control officers to complete projects successfullyMaintaining strong relationships with the existing client base So if you are:MRTPI Accredited2-3 years post membership experience (public sector desirable)Full UK Driving Licence The Reward?A competitive salary with additional benefits, and the opportunity to join a consultancy committed to their staff's career development and involvement in the firm's development and success.
