This is a key and exciting senior operational role for a leader within the anaerobic digestion industry within the UK.
Marches Biogas is an anaerobic digestion (AD) engineering company that was formed in 2009. The company has extensive experience and knowledge of plant design, equipment manufacture, installation, commissioning and 'operation and maintenance’ from over 30 years of working within the industry and having built and maintained over 40 anaerobic digestion plants across the UK.
Evolution Biogas is the support division of Marches Biogas Ltd. Evolution Biogas supports operational anaerobic digestion plants throughout the UK and continually works to improve the performance of all the facilities it supports. Evolution Biogas currently supports 40 farm and food waste AD plants; in addition, it works on 26 water authority AD sites.
Reporting to the Managing Director, we are now seeking an accomplished Senior Operations Manager with plenty of hands-on operational experience to join the team at our Ludlow office.
As Senior Operations Manager you will direct and coordinate all financial and operational aspects of Evolution Biogas. Your responsibilities will extend to the implementation of Lean principles as well as other policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency. In addition, you will supervise, engage and develop the support team, while managing performance.
Evolution Biogas provides support to many facilities 24hours a day, 7 days a week and the Senior Operations Manager will have responsibility to ensure this service is provided efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal person for this role must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and process-driven, with a sound understanding of the importance of accountability and achieving results. With excellent communication skills and strong commitment, you should have a proven record of strong leadership, and team building - coming from a 'hands-on’ background. This should include experience in a leadership role; project management, delivery of results and methods of sustaining improvements.

Specific Job Skills
The successful candidate will ideally have come from an Engineering background with a Mechanical or Electrical bias - possibly with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience. They will also have a previous, demonstrable operational background with experience of project management. Experience of implementing Lean principles is desirable.
