A new and exciting role has become available at Hertfordshire Mind Network in our Employment, Training and Social Enterprise team as a Horticultural Recovery Worker based at our new Horticultural Training Centre.
Job Title: Horticultural Recovery Worker
Based: Meriden Estate, North Watford
Contract: 1 year Fixed term
Working hours: 22.5 hours per week, including some weekend and out of hours work required
Salary: £18,000 per annum pro rata (based on 37.5 hours full time equivalent)
The Horticultural Recovery Worker will provide a therapeutic and supportive outdoor learning environment for service users to build confidence, resilience, learn new skills and reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will support Hertfordshire Mind’s vision for Social Enterprises to provide volunteering, training and employment opportunities for people in Hertfordshire experiencing mental ill health.
We are looking for a creative and inspiring individual who naturally encourages and motivates others. You will lead a team of volunteers to teach and support service users in planting, growing produce and upcycling donated materials to sell to the public both on and off site.
