Swine Farm Manager - Ireland

De Lacy Executive has been retained to source a Swine Farm Manager in Ireland. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate within the pig market to manage a unit and really make their mark. There are significant opportunities for progression within this company and those with previous commercial pig management experience would be encouraged to apply. Reporting to the Head of Pig Procurement, The Swine Farm Manager will oversee the processes of the farm, people management, and ensure that technical systems and KPI’s are as efficient as possible. This is a hands on role with managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Managing all production aspects of the pig farm
Working with the existing farm staff as well as training and development programs for existing and new farm staff
Making recommendations to improve performance and health of pigs
Preparing annual budgets for the management of the farm
Ensuring all production records are maintained
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements such as DAFM and EPA
Implementing a standard work routine and pig flow rotation across all aspects of the farm

Requirements:

The applicant would ideally need to be IT Literate and hands on, as well as have the ability to make business decisions
Pig Management Experience would be preferred
Ability to manage people
Valid Driving License
