Ecology Consultant - Biodiversity

From £35,000 to £55,000 per annum depending on experience

Cheshire, United Kingdom

Big projects can have a big environmental impact, which leads to enormous amounts of publicity for the companies involved, sometimes good but often not so good if they get it wrong.

To minimise this risk they need really detailed knowledge of what might happen if they build a road through a forest, or run a pipeline under the sea. Are they going to disturb any protected species? Will any communities be affected? What about the land/sea that they're building on?

These are complex issues that need expert guidance, and this is where you come in.

You don't only understand biodiversity, you've made it your profession, your passion, your life.

Maybe you watched Attenborough programs and they inspired you, could have been a trip to the zoo with school, or maybe just an innate curiosity to find out how the natural world works.

There is an international Consultancy who wants to speak to you about their growth plans for their international projects team.

Working there comes with some challenges, you'll get a lot of responsibility and at times the workloads can be stressful because they don't have huge numbers of staff to take up extra work. The IT systems work, but compared to some of the major global players they might be a little low-tech.

If you can cope with that then the professional rewards can be great, you will get to work on really interesting projects around the world, travel to new countries and be fully backed in your personal development.

For the most part people work here for a long time, because of the work and the people. Meet them and you'll really feel just how passionate they are about what they do.

If I was an Ecology professional I can say with certainty that I would want to work for these guys.

Want to find out more and see if they could be for you?
