We are currently looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Estate Manager who has a solid background in either construction or maintenance. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient running of all areas of the estate as well as the maintenance functions across our busy five-star resort. You will be expected to prepare, plan and manage a planned maintenance programme for all areas of the resort.
You will manage a small team along with sub-contractors, delegating tasks to the team and supporting where necessary to ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance/grounds work is conducted in a safe, professional and efficient manner. You will ensure that all works are carried out to a high standard plus in line with current health and safety regulations and you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on such activity.
Other duties include;
To effectively manage your department within a strict budgeted constraint.
To ensure that all maintenance tasks are recorded on the system, costed accordingly and completed in a timely manner.
To price works for internal projects as well as Lodge Owners to ensure the lodges are maintained to the required standard.
To ensure that all maintenance vehicles, equipment and stock items are secure and accounted for monthly and is maintained to a good working order.
To plan, implement and control a summer and winter works programme for repairs, maintenance and improvements.
To provide excellent customer service always, listening and responding to internal and external queries from staff, lodge owners and guests in an approachable, professional and friendly manner.
It is essential that the successful candidate has proven experience at a managerial level with considerable experience of undertaking reactive and planned grounds and maintenance works on a large leisure resort/holiday park or similar

You must have experience of managing and developing a maintenance team of various trades and skills including sub-contractors
Must have some trade and maintenance experience with a sound understanding of the practical nature of general repairs including utilities
Must have excellent communication skills, you will have to discuss issues with lodge owners
Must be computer literate
Able to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload accordingly
Well organised with excellent attention to detail
Due to the location you must be a driver with your own vehicle
