Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Vehicle/HGV Technician to work with one of the largest Utility companies in the West Midlands. Vehicle/HGV Technician:
We are looking for a qualified Vehicle/HGV Technician to join the servicing team and expand on your technical skill set. In this role, the successful candidate will fault find, maintain, service and repair vehicles in the broad and varied fleet - which includes cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles and mobile plant

Vehicle/HGV Technician - Role objective:
The successful candidate will need to have experience of fleet maintenance along with basic computer skills because when you are not servicing and maintaining a diverse range of company vehicles and plant to a high standard, ensuring the manufacturer guidelines are followed or preparing and presenting company vehicles for annual testing to required standards, you will be inputting all key job information daily into a fleet management system

Vehicle/HGV Technician - Key accountabilities:
We would love it if you have maintained auxiliary equipment like cranes, compressors, generators, vacuum and displacement pumps etc and have experience of working on various makes and models of commercial vehicles, cars and mobile plant including agricultural and construction

However, it is essential that you have completed a recognised Apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications level 2 minimum, or NVQ equivalent in motor vehicle craft or time served. You will also need to have a HGV class 2 licence (you will be supported to obtain your class 1 qualification), and have a driving licence preferably to LGV C + E category

The working hours in this role are (Apply online only) Monday to Thursday with a 15:30 finish on Fridays – however due to the nature of the fleet you will need to attend to unscheduled maintenance and emergency work as required to minimise vehicle downtime

Location: Finham (Coventry)
Rate: £18p/h
