Mill Operative Malton Initial Hourly Rate = £7.65 (hourly rate potential to rise to £10 to £11 per hour incrementally with training and skills gained) Weekly shift allowance = £30.15 Plus plenty of Overtime available. We are delighted to be working with a company we know and understand very well in the search for a new Mill Operative. Working on a permanent basis, shifts will initially be rotational on 6am to 2pm OR 2pm to 10pm (These will be changing early months of 2018 and will be discussed and explained at interview). Training will be given and as skills (Control, Press, Packing) are gained, the hourly rate will go up in increments. Holidays: 20 days pa rising to 22 days pa after 1 years employment. This role would suit somebody from a 'rural' lifestyle/background, with a 'can do' and 'work to finish' attitude. Ideally the candidates will have experience in an agricultural or production environment, however this is not essential as full and comprehensive training will be given. Responsibilities Responsible for the safe and clean production of feed, including carrying out specific operations within the production process such as: intake, plant cleaning and basic maintenance. This role involves shift work, and post-holders are expected to follow the allocated rota system as updated and issued by the Operations / Mill Manager. This rota may be altered at any time according to the needs of the business, in which case employees will be notified of any changes with not less than 24 hours notice. Tasks Include • Safe and clean production of feed and other Company produce. • Safe operation of Company machinery. • Optimise usage of machinery and the running of all press lines at all times during your work. • Ensure that work areas assigned to you are kept clean and tidy at all times. • Comply with all Company procedures currently in place or which are introduced to ensure the safe operation of Company practices and the safety of the individual. • Ensure the correct clothing and appropriate safety devices are worn at all times whilst carrying out your work.
