Process Engineer - Chemicals Manufacturing

Our client is a globally influential Chemical Manufacturer with multiple sites in the UK. This business hold industry leading positions in a number of categories and work involves specialist, world class manufacturing processes.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Process Engineer with extensive Chemical Manufacturing and Project Management experience. To succeed in this role you will have to have a great depth of understanding in Liquid manufacturing Processes (ie Drinks, Brewing, Dairy, Pharmaceutical and of course Chemicals). You will add value through optimising existing frameworks and systems as well as continued innovation.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Identify and agree strategic direction and value of project workload. Liaise with commercial, operational, quality/technical, safety and engineering colleagues to capture, scope, quantify and prioritise project ideas.
  • Identify bottlenecks and work to improve existing systems.
  • Deliver projects on time, to budget, with successful ramp-up, no unplanned business impacts, which deliver the planned business benefit.
  • Help define the business concept of Process and Change Management, ensure compliance, and continuously improve the concept and the capability.

Ideal Experience/Profile Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of World Class Process Manufacturing is a given.
  • Qualified to graduate level and/or capable of demonstrating experience gained from managing multiple or large scale projects, and/or PRINCE2 project management qualification (or similar
  • A Drive for results, in both the short and medium time horizon. Experience if delivering results personally and magnified results through others (via good prioritisation of initiatives and alignment/coordination of resource).
  • Resilience and perseverance to establish a CI culture.
