Reproductive Management Services (RMS) RMS Technicians in Armagh, Down & Antrim
Genus ABS is a global organisation that is revitalising the dairy industry with innovation. We need enthusiastic, energetic individuals who enjoy a challenge and are capable of achieving great results. In 2007 we introduced a new tail-chalk based service for larger dairy herd management.
This scheme is currently used by over 100 customers, covering over 32k cows annually and serviced by a team of 22 full time technicians plus support staff.
The specific approach involves daily herd visits and evaluation of computer based records to maximise heat detection rates, in order to get cows pregnant. In addition, technicians will identify and solve practical issues that are restraining dairy herd fertility. Training on the specific reproductive management systems will be provided. IT skills would be an advantage, but not essential, as training will be provided. The ideal candidates will have an experience of working with dairy cows and preferably be A.I. trained. The successful candidates must have good communication skills and will work closely with dairy herd owners, herdsmen, vets and nutritionists.
A highly competitive salary plus performance related package is on offer, together with a company vehicle, and mobile phone.
The closing date for applications is Friday 12th January 18. If you have not been contacted within 2 weeks of this date, you will not have been selected for interview.
Please apply in writing, enclosing your CV, to James Woods, RMS Manager, Genus ABS, 34a Seagoe Industrial Estate, Portadown, Co. Armagh. BT63 5QD.
