Job Title: Software Quality Engineer
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Rate: £30.50 ph Ltd Co.
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge leader in Software Quality: define, measure and improve appropriate internal software ways of working, collaborating and communicating
This lead role will involve extensive collaboration with multiple internal teams, and will focus on defining and driving improvements at departmental and project levels
Definition and deployment of project quality and performance measures and reporting across the group
Contribute to the definition of development life-cycles and governance across the group
Guide, support, and lead software teams and improvement groups by helping teams to build-in software management and engineering best practices

Key Skills Required for Submission:
Ability to recognise where teams are struggling to build-in best practice into improvements under development, and provide expert assistance where needed
Ability to collaborate closely with and influence engineers, project managers and senior managers, ensuring improvement needs are articulated and understood, and that teams have defined and are using robust methods to achieve their goals effectively
Highly skilled and knowledgeable in an array of approaches and methods to set expectations for software project quality, performance, establish and drive deployment of relevant measures

Skills Required:
Well connected with access to wide network of expertise in good practice, enabling support to be provided to improvement teams where needed

Skills Preferred:
Agile practitioner (desirable for iterative and well defined continuous improvement)
CMMi/ASPICE practitioner or assessor trained (desirable for robust process background / good practice appreciation)

Experience Required:
Intimate familiarity with CMMi and/or ASPICE process maturity frameworks, and their relevance to robust embedded product development
Software (optionally plus Systems) engineering background (for domain appreciation)

Experience Preferred:
Process Mapping and/or Value Stream Mapping
