An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Garden Maintenance Operative or Team Leader to work for an established and well respected company in East London. The company offers a full in-house service of garden design, build and aftercare/maintenance. The team of 10 staff take pride in providing their loyal clients with a first-class service via a personal approach. The company philosophy and attention to detail have resulted in word-of-mouth-derived repeat business since their establishment in 2009. Due to continued success, an additional Garden Maintenance Operative is required to join the team. The company are inviting applications from experienced gardeners at operative and/or team leader level, and are offering a generous salary range in relation to applicants’ industry experience and skill level. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised horticultural qualification and/or demonstrable experience of working in a garden/grounds maintenance role, predominantly on domestic sites. Applicants must be experienced in a range of gardening duties such as hedge cutting, lawn maintenance, pruning, planting, bed/border maintenance, and be willing to carry out a range of other gardening tasks as they arise. Candidates must be used to working within a team and on their own initiative. Good horticultural knowledge and plant identification skills are desirable. Spray certificates (PA1/PA6) and the legal ability to tow a trailer are desirable but not essential; however applicants must hold a full clean driving licence. As you will be expected to interact with clients on site, you must be conscientious and well presented with a positive attitude. You must be physically fit with a ‘can-do’ attitude and have good attention to detail in order to maintain this company’s exemplary standard of work.
