Job Role: General Maintenance / Gardener Location: Dartford, Kent Salary: £19,000 Hours: 35 hours a week As a Gardener, you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by: • Efficiently and professionally managing the hard and soft landscape areas of the development • Provide a safe, secure attractive and well-maintained external landscaping environment • Undertake all minor maintenance around the external grounds This role reports to the development manager. About You You will have relevant experience working as a gardener and being responsible for the general maintenance of a large estate. You will have a key eye for detail and will take pride in great the presentation of the development, you will be technically sound with a relevant spraying licence as well solid horticultural knowledge. Main Responsibilities • Daily visible check and works planned and conditions report to be compiled across the entire estate. • Ensure tidiness of development is maintained - clean water features of all litter and leaves, clean out all bin store areas, sweep all hard surfaces including footpaths and all car-parking areas, etc. • Keep all shrubs cultivated and well maintained and all flower borders are free of weeds. • To report on the condition of all plants and trees. • To coordinate all externally contracted landscape and groundworks including tree surgery works. • Plan and action landscaping works based on seasonal requirements including fallen leaf litter, planting and pruning. • Undertake thorough checks inside manhole covers and drainage solutions to ensure they are free flowing of soil and leaf debris. • Maintain all equipment and storage facilities keeping them in good working order. • Carry out any other instructions/minor repairs as directed by the Development manager.
