Herdsperson - 220 Cows - Spring Calving Unit - South West Scotland

Competitive Salary

Kirkcudbrightshire, United Kingdom

We require a dedicated and experienced herdsperson to work alongside the owner on a modern and forward thinking 220 cow unit situated in the stunning Auchencairn Bay, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.

The unit enjoys excellent modern facilities in an easily work layout with primary areas, including the 11/22 parlour and cubicles, under one roof. The role would entail milkings, general stock husbandry, herd health and AI. Foot trimming would be an advantage also. Alongside the cow health and welfare tasks, you will be involved with grazing management and have an input with the vets, consultants and other farm professionals.

In return for your efforts we offer a competitive salary with bonus schemes, regular time off and large 3-bedroom house in the village less than a mile from the farm, in a stunning part of the UK but close to local amenities and the borders trunk road network.

For an informal discussion please contact Ian Lindsay on 07802 596869.
