Our very well established and highly successful client are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development/Account Manager to manage and maintain the existing business but who is also able to seek out and network with potential new clients around the country. An Agriculture or similar background would make you an ideal and preferred candidate to enable to you to have an existing understanding of the business and hit the ground running although consideration will be given to all sectors providing you possess the relevant skill set.

This rare opportunity will utilise your ability to carry out the following;

* Negotiate rates
* Account manage
* Network with potential new clients
* Conduct market research
* Support company financial goals
* Ensure client needs are fulfilled
* Assist with and help resolve operational and commercial issues
* Analyses sales and relevant reports to enhance the business module
* Work closely with the planning department

A strong positive approach to problem solving and decision making will aid your success along with your friendly disposition and excellent inter-personal skills. A flexible attitude and a willingness to learn new skills will also be required to allow you to effectively undertake the role. Alongside these requirements will be an understanding or background in a transport and haulage company due to the nature of the role.

This position is a national role which offers a company car. You will be happy to travel within most areas of the UK in order to visit the existing client base and will have the freedom to manage your own time reporting into the Operations Director.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and in return you will be offered 25 days holiday, pension, company car and medical insurance.
