Estate Management Officer

£27,191 pa

United Kingdom

Summary

We have a position for an Estate Management Officer to join our dedicated team located at the Hardwick Consultancy Hub. In this role, you’ll be assisting with the delivery of excellent estate management across the Peak District. You’ll be a key member of our team, providing technical support to colleagues.

It’s an exciting time to join the Trust as we structure our estate management and building professionals to help us deliver our strategy particularly around conservation of our buildings and restoring a healthy beautiful natural environment.

What it's like to work here

The Hardwick Hub is one of three mixed discipline offices in the Midlands region. Located on the Hardwick Hall Estate, the hub covers properties across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, although many consultants based here work in pan-regional roles.

What you'll be doing

In this role you'll support and work with the Estate Manager and Rural Surveyor for the Peak District, where you’ll help care for and manage our buildings and land.

The role is very varied; you could be spending your day meeting prospective tenants for one of our residential properties at a viewing day; analysing project spend for a building project; updating our Property System with property information or drafting a licence agreement for an event happening at one of our properties.

Customer service is a central part of your role. You’ll be at the forefront of our drive to improve our relationships with our tenants and external stakeholders by ensuring that we respond to enquiries in a professional and timely way. You’ll work across the team and with our individual property teams to keep everyone informed and find ways of solving problems.

You’ll be expert at using our systems to find information and update it, keeping track of how we’re doing against our targets, including finances, and helping the team to see where they need to focus their time.

Who we're looking for

In order to be successful in this role you’ll need;

  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to deliver excellent service to our internal and external customers
  • An eye for detail and the ability to spot potential issues before they arise
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Understanding of estate management, including residential and commercial lettings
  • The ability to use your initiative, dealing with problems when they arise and finding creative solutions
  • A strong sense of working as part of a team, working with the estate manager and wider property team
  • Ability to use business systems, particularly the Property System, to maintain accurate estate records, manage invoices, financial reporting and reports relating to key performance indicators
