We specialise in the recruitment and training of salespeople. Every business is looking for great salespeople and most businesses can’t find them. Our job is to help clients to build their sales teams and, at the same time, help great salespeople or those with the potential to be great into their next role. We love sales, love salespeople and love doing a great job (though nobody can say they love every bit of doing that job!).
Recruitment is like running a dating agency. We match people based on our understanding of both needs; the matching is part science and process, and part gut-feel based on our experience of what makes a good match. We can teach you how to master both the logic and the emotion of sales recruitment and all we need in return is your dedication, attention and hard work. Sales recruitment is typically done badly - we are already changing what people think is possible in our field and your role will simply focus on helping us do even better work for even more people.
The Sales Talent Matrix: Does this sound like you?
Knowledge: You know how to sell and probably have 2-3 years’ experience in a sales role, preferably a telesales role; you know how to work productively and efficiently in an office; it would help if you have contacts and insight in a particular market, such as media, technology or property.
Attitude: You smile a lot, love life, people and business. You’re passionate about being brilliant and proud of the work you do. You enjoy learning and probably have an active interest in self-development. Working hard and being professional are so much part of you, you don’t even have to think about them.
Skills: Communication is a large part of your living and you must do it well in all forms (ie. grammar, spelling, enunciation, projection); you have sales skills to handle new business (cold calls) and consultative business conversations (yes, you’re both a hunter and farmer in sales-speak); you have good organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise regularly.
Habits: Well-presented, professional, well-organised and resilient with a sense of fun and purpose.
