Senior Buyer position in Co.Antrim with negotiable salary up to £35,000 based on purchasing experience

A well-established manufacturing firm with headquarters in Co.Antrim have continuously advanced over the past 30+ years in business with new factories developed since 2008 now need to fulfil a new position with an experienced Buyer ready to take the next step. They are focused on providing a first class service to global customers offering the highest quality products across various industries such as civil engineering, agricultural and and building market sectors.
Your new role
The Senior Buyer will lead the company's end-to-end procurement function with responsibility over products and services to achieve best practice sustainability by achieving weekly cost savings for all raw materials, consumables and plant machinery. You will develop buying procedures and strategies in line with best practice, perform strategic outsourcing activities to explore new supply and improve lead times whilst reporting on analysis on customer demand forecast to plan for material scheduling. Also, you will liaise with all internal departments to communicate stock management and raise purchase orders using MRP software on a daily basis.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous 3+ years experience in a buyer/purchasing role will lead to success along with strong IT skills, ability to work to deadlines, proven success with supplier negotiation and knowledge of the construction or engineering industry. Also, previous experience with SAGE packages or CIPS qualification will be highly advantageous but not essential.
