Discovered body confirmed as missing farmer Andrew Green

Police confirmed the recent discovery of a body in Shropshire was that of missing farmer Andrew Green, 33.

Mr Green was reported missing from Chorley, Bridgnorth on June 22 last year after going missing from his family home.

His body was found by a passer-by on March 10.

Tributes have poured into a Facebook page previously dedicated to a mass search for Mr Green throughout September.

Fellow farmers Neil, Clare, Edward and James Morris told us: "Andrew was enthusiastic in everything he did. He had excellent staying power - often working through the night to get a job done.

"He was a natural leader and took control of the silage gang with great efficiency. He was always good fun and keep everyone’s spirits up when things weren’t going too well.

"Andrew was full of life and he had a great presence. A bright star who will be greatly missed by all who knew him."

Former Walford College classmate Rebecca Louise Gaskin said: "He was always the person that would put a smile on our faces in class and I’ll never forget his grin - so warm and caring with a bit of cheeky in his eyes. I will never forget him."

Police said his family has been kept up-to-date throughout the process and are aware of the forensic test results.

The funeral will be held on May 5 at St. Mary’s Church, Stottesdon.

An inquest will open on April 25.
