Young Farmers have helped raise £1,000 in the opening hours of Friday’s AGM registration after donating £1 in exchange for an exclusive Farmers Guardian t-shirt.
The FG t-shirts have become a staple must-have at the Young Farmers AGM and this year was no exception.
Raising money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I), the seven-strong FG team welcomed members as they descended in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, the focal venue for much of the three-day event.
True to form, the YFC members were in fine spirits as they arrived for Friday’s registration after some had travelled as far as Cornwall and South Wales to get to the seaside resort in time for 1pm, when the doors opened.
The money raised will be donated specifically to help the Cumbrian farmers hit by the devastating floods that took place at the end of last year and the beginning of this year.
New for this year was the FG photo booth where members donned an array of fancy dress costumes to pose happily for our photographers.
