Thousands of Young Farmers from across England and Wales have landed in Blackpool today to mark the first day of their annual convention.
Organised by the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs (NFYFC), the three-day weekend is the biggest event for members who arrived at the seaside resort for registration at 1pm.
It is expected attendance numbers could reach 6,000, meaning this year will welcome record numbers in more than 10 years.
The weekend will see an array of national competition finals including performing arts, darts, choir and ballroom.
The winner of the national senior member of the year will also be announced at the AGM on Sunday morning and Saturday morning kicks off with a debate organised by the Agri Forum on the importance of the supply chain.
Radio 1 DJs Scott Mills and Greg James will be hosting a set on Saturday and Sunday night respectively along with FG’s Head of Machinery James Rickard who will also be on stage from 9pm on Sunday.
