Arla announces price rise for October #teamdairy

Arla has announced an October price rise of 1.09ppl, including a 0.19ppl quarterly adjustment in the currency smoothing mechanism.

Its manufacturing price will be 32.47ppl, with its liquid price at 31.21ppl from October 1.

Arla Foods amba board director, Johnnie Russell, said: “While Arla’s performance has strengthened enabling this welcomed increase, the recent recovery in commodity prices has slowed especially in the last week or so, however, the full impact of the drought is as yet unknown.”

The Arla on-account price for organic milk will remain unchanged in UK and Central Europe.

However, in the UK the Arla on-account price for organic milk will increase by 0.19 pence per litre from 1 October due to the effects of the quarterly currency smoothing mechanism.
