Blacknose Beauties top 7,100gns

THE second Blacknose Sheep Society national sale was held at Carlisle, where trade flew to 7,100gns.

Top lot was the male and overall supreme champion, Westmorland Edward, a March-born ram lamb from Tim Dunne, Cumbria, which sold to Monmouthshire breeders Amazing Valais Blacknose sheep.

 

The same buyers also paid 4,500gns for the February-born shearling gimmer Prendwick Dancer from Jamie Wood, Northumberland.

 

At 4,200gns was Highland Duke, an April-born shearling ram from J. and J. Simonini, Penrith, which found a new home with R. Beattie, Co Tyrone.
