Jason Burgess has been appointed chair of the British Growers Association (BGA).
Mr Burgess has extensive experience of the fresh produce industry as a director of vegetable producer Produce World and has been on the board at BGA for a number of years.
BGA chief executive Jack Ward says: “It is incredibly helpful to have someone of Jason’s experience, ability and standing in the sector to lead the board of British Growers. As the industry gears up to approach the uncertain future following Brexit, it opens up opportunities and challenges in equal measure.
“Our role at British Growers is to support the sector, maximise the opportunities and meet the challenges. The board plays a critical role in guiding and directing the executive team at Louth to provide the right services and maintain its relevance.”
