Following weekend talks between Labour and Plaid Cymru, Carwyn Jones was re-elected as the Welsh Assembly’s First Minister.

AMs from both parties backed a deal to end the week-long deadlock yesterday morning (Tuesday, May 17) and agreed to back a minority Labour Welsh Government.

The two parties will work together on a number of fronts - but with none of them so far listed as involving agricultural issues.

Following the Queen’s approval, Mr Jones will begin forming a minority Welsh Government and appoint his team of Cabinet Ministers.

A decision on his leadership team is expected towards the weekend.
