Last summer saw farmers up and down the country swapping their usual bale wrap for a pink variety to help raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.
This year, after joining forces with silage film manufacturer, Silotite, Mole Valley Farmers unveiled its pink wrap at Lamma last week.
A total of £5 from every toll of bale wrap sold will be donated to Cancer Research UK, with contributions made from Silotite, Mole Valley Farmers and the purchaser.
It is hoped about £10,000 will be raised for the charity through this initiative.
Although fund raising is a significant part of the campaign, Mole Valley Farmers’ John Ovenell said the main benefit will be raising national awareness of the disease.
“Pink silage bales scattered across the British countryside will be a massive advertising campaign for Cancer Research UK," he said.
"It’s a great opportunity for farmers to do something to raise awareness of a significant illness that affects so many people."
