Farm worker dies in drainage tragedy

The incident happened in Aberdeenshire on Thursday.

A 32-year-old farm worker has died in a tragedy at an Aberdeenshire farm.

 

Gary Coutts, 32, is understood to have drowned in mud while draining a field at Mains of Annochie farm, near Auchnagatt, on Thursday afternoon.

 

Police confirmed they were called to the incident at 1.15pm, but Mr Coutts died as a result of incident.

 

The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
